Take your performance anywhere with the compact, lightweight MODX M featuring three powerful engines:
- AN-X – recreates warm vintage analog synths
- FM-X – offers cutting-edge modern synth sound
- AWM2 – delivers ultra-realistic instrument sounds
Plus, MODX M offers an upgrade of up to 268 notes of polyphony across its three engines and approximately 2x the memory over MODX/MODX+ with an increase from 5.68GB to 10.7GB of AWM2 memory, and 1.9GB of User flash memory.
UNIQUE EXPRESSION
You’ll find dedicated Part and Scene Selection buttons to control 8 Parts per Performance. Particularly beneficial for live performances, this intuitive control improves overall usability and adds dimension to each Performance.
The MODX M Knobs, Super Knob, Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel, and Sound Engine are now High Resolution. Because of the fine resolution, you’ll find the MODX M performs smoother than its predecessors.
EXPANDED CREATIVITY
Free for all registered MODX M owners, the Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) replicates MODX M in your favorite Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). ESP lets you create, edit and mix performances anywhere you happen to be – without the hardware – offering an unprecedented level of stage and studio integration. (Available early 2026)
Upgraded navigation enables quick, intuitive sound editing and operation. You’ll find features like a color touchscreen, 6 display knobs, and Stereo A/D input with 2 insertion effects.
AN-X Engine
Integrated into the Motion Control system, the AN-X Engine includes 2 filters, 10 filter types, pulse width modulation, oscillator self sync, ring modulation, FM and wave share, and voltage drift and aging settings.
AWM2
Offering up to 128 Elements per Part, AWM2 allows for more layers and articulations, giving you an expansive canvas for sound creation, especially for “nameable” sounds such as piano and strings.
