The Wharfedale Pro’s IMPACT-X15L is a passive speaker that delivers high power capacity and clarity, producing 350W RMS (1400W peak) of power with a low-end frequency of 45Hz. A 1.75″ titanium diaphragm compression driver offers a powerful yet neutral sounding high end for high frequency. Both the HF and LF drivers were designed specifically for this series of loudspeakers, and they were engineered and acoustically matched to a highly robust wooden cabinet.

ELIPTICAL WAVEGUIDES

Full range models feature a 90° x 60° Elliptical Waveguide

In real-world terms this means that the higher frequencies can be heard with definition at 90° in the horizontal plane, and 60° in the vertical.

All full range models in the Impact-X series use this same elliptical waveguide design which makes for controllable coverage when using multiple Impact series loudspeakers.

IRIS X COMPRESSION DRIVERS

The coil size and electrical sensitivity of a loudspeaker transducer is critical to its performance.  Impact-X loudspeakers now include our proprietary IRIS X design which delivers Increased coil Radius and Increased electrical Sensitivity.  The radius of the coil ensures smooth heat dissipation during prolonged high volume use, while the increased electrical sensitivity ensures that the transducer converts as much electrical power into sound output as the laws of physics allow.

A hot transducer wastes energy, risks damage and distorts.  IRIS X reduces this through improved heat dissipation and improved efficiency.

In real-world terms, IRIS X transducers deliver higher SPL with less distortion.  They lead the market with specifications and are designed and built entirely within Wharfedale Pro.

COMBI JACK INPUTS

A handy feature are the NL2 combi jack connectors which are used in all models of Impact-X.

These accept both speakON compatible cabling or 1/4″ jack speaker cables.  It means that you’ve usually got the right cables on hand!
